High-volume Production Metal Stamping

  • Automotive
  • Filtration
  • Heavy-duty trucking
  • Solar (Panels, racks, mounts, and other parts)
  • Watercraft

However, Rago & Son works with any industry that necessitates high volume metal stamping.  Whatever the end product — truck, boat or water filter — if a metal component is needed, our facility can produce it.  Partial or Full Assembly services can be provided upon request, before the components are shipped.

We stamp metals up to 0.375" thick, and our maximum press capability is 220 tons. Rago & Son's 40,000+ square foot facilities have the production capability to meet any high volume metal working requirements. Our expert operators often use coil feeders when appropriate to speed up production.

Pre-Production Services

Section

Rago & Son provides a number of services cooperative to the actual production process.  Though technically not a machine shop, we are able to provide complete die manufacturing and maintenance services with full machine shop capabilities.

Rago & Son's secondary support services are:

  • Prototyping (Laser-cutting)
  • Die Manufacturing
  • Die Maintenance

We can fabricate and/or maintain:

  • Compound dies
  • Pierce, Cutoff and Form dies
  • Progressive dies
  • Press Brake dies

There is no additional charge for routine maintenance on customer purchased tooling.



We prototype and stamp sample runs for customers who have purchased tooling.

We do not regularly fabricate in small numbers.

Post-Production Services

Rago & Son worker inspecting a metal tubeAfter the components have been manufactured, Rago & Son provides post-production services to finish the job.  We provide complete assembly and finishing services, and inspect our pieces on our CMM machine as necessary before shipping.  Our goal is to ensure that from the beginning to the end, your metal production needs are fully covered at Rago & Son.

Full Inspection (CMM, CNC, 3-D Measurements)

The parts we produce are carefully inspected and measured for quality assurance.  The process involves a variety of tools and instruments, with the Mitutoyo Bright-A710 Coordinate Measurement System(below) used when needed.

Our highly trained machinist ensure the quality of our products.  In 2008, we received a 50 PPM Certificate from a satisfied customer.  That customer is just one of many high profile and highly satisfied customers who Rago & Son, Inc. continues to serve.

Assembly (Automated or Manned)

If needed, Rago & Son can assemble your products before shipping them to their final destinations.  Our skilled operators can assemble pieces by hand, or for faster performance and precision, use auto-inserters.

We understand that the quality of our products have a direct effect on your company's reputation.  Rest assured that we invariably do our best to provide you with the highest quality metal stampings and other components.

Finishing Processes

We currently utilize the following list of finishes:

  • Anodizing

  • Powder Coating
  • Tin-plating
  • Tumbling
  • Zinc Coating

Our powder-coaters and other outside suppliers are certified to strict automotive standards when applicable.  Please inquire for a quote.

Rago & Son's Inspection, Assemby, and Finishing services are not provided as independent services.
